Because New Jersey CMA certification is an advanced direct-care credential, students must already hold an active qualifying New Jersey certification.
Before you apply
- Confirm you currently hold an active NJ CNA, CHHA, or PCA credential.
- Have your New Jersey certification number available for verification.
- Review the current class schedule and tuition information.
- Plan for the certification examination and background-investigation requirements after training.
State requirement: Eligibility for CMA certification is determined by the New Jersey Department of Health. Submitting an inquiry to Valor does not itself establish certification eligibility.
